New babies born in the last 6 weeks

I was thanking God today for all the babies I have prayed for in the last 6 weeks. They have all been born with no complications and are healthy and thriving in godly Christian homes. Each one means so much to us, so I wanted you to meet them.
Kalei was just baptized in our church. Her parents have joined Redeemer since we have been here. Remember the post about the horse race? That's Kalei's dad Crecencio.
My awesome nephew Sam and his beautiful wife Cherie, gave birth to Jolly Samuel. Jolly was my dad's name. Sam and Heather are three months apart and now their babies are three months apart. They live in Fort Collins where Sam is a dentist. Sam is my prayer partner in evangelism. He has the gift.
Parker Kim was born to another family in our church. They live here in Torrance. You have seen pictures of Parker's sister, Lauryn. Out of the five babies born in our church since we arrived, Parker is the first boy!
Mary Gibson Greene was born in Mississippi to Eric and Katy. Eric is a PCA pastor and Troy's brother. Katy was pregant at Troy and Heather's wedding with Grayson and now has given birth to a beautiful little girl. We not only got a fabulous son-in-law when Troy married Heather but his incredible family too. Bailey Rudy was our latest blessing. Patrick was part of our youth group in Colorado. When John left to come to Torrance, Pat and Stacy spent almost everyday for three weeks helping me clean out 27 years of treasures! They live in Colorado Springs. I could have never made this move without them.

So there you have it. My cup runneth over!

This week with the Rantals

John was blessed to baptize Kalei Dacayanan last Sunday.
He was blessed to marry David and Paula Aldana the day before.

My dear friend of over 20 years from Lancaster came to see me. Her husband Chuck went to be with the Lord 16 months ago after a terrible bout with cancer. We had not seen each other since the Memorial Service. We took a beautiful drive around Palos Verdes and ate lunch at the Trump Golf Course. We laughed and we cried. Sometimes life is just so hard! She is a radiant Christian and I am so that she is in my life. April and Ella came for a visit from San Antonio. April and Chris are dear friends who moved from Redeemer a few months ago. Roger and Christine are Ella's grandparents. Roger and Christine have been incredible friends to us since we have lived in California

A Colorado Visit

Cheyenne Mountain PCA prays for the McClures on Sean's last Sunday. They are praying for their house to sell so she can join him in Virginia. In January they will all move to Monterrey, California.
The new America the Beautiful park was a fun day for us to play in the fountain. Jenna is now three and holds up a sign she made.

Quick Visit with Heather and Susannah

Heather lives so close to DFW airport that she was able to bring me home for lunch and a quick loving on Susannah on my trip to Colorado.
Heather is such a happy mother. Troy passed his license exam for the PCA. He is now doing an internship at Colleyville Presbyterian Church near Grapevine, Texas where they live. Troy still works as a bondtrader and Heather has her piano students. After they finish this, they will be looking for God's next call in their lives.
Susannah is getting over her reflux and is quite the smiley face. She is such a miracle from God for Troy and Heather. The "capris" she is wearing are from me!

Visiting with Mark and Alicia in Colorado

Alicia took us to a Rockies game while we were visiting in Colorado. It rained and hailed and the Rockies lost. We still had a blast! (Couldn't figure out how to make this picture bigger!!!)

Mark joined a city softball league with his friend Evan Nelson. They won the championship and we got to be there to watch them. Mark, of course, made the t-shirts. He continues to work as a freelance graphic artist. He has a great little office in Old Colorado City.

Opal Reunion 2008

My brother Mike and his wife Ellen hosted our Second Cousin Reunion in honor of our grandmother Opal. I was able to go while John was taking seminary classes in Colorado. We met in Kemah, Texas and sailed on Mike's boat. His wife Ellen, fixed fabulous meals and feed all 21 of us for 2 days. I'm still waiting for the group picture.

After the reunion we went back to my brother Pat's home in Louise,Texas. I always love posing with my niece Katherine and her horse.

We survived our first earthquake! :)

We're Okay!If you are hearing news about an earthquake in Los Angeles, don't worry about us. At 11:20ish this morning, a 5.4-Richter earthquake hit about 60 miles east of where we live. A 5.4 earthquake is a moderate shaking. So far there are no reports of any major damage.Cindy and I were in the kitchen looking at her computer when we heard a very mild rumble and the pots and pans in the pantry started rattling a little bit. Immediately we stepped out of the house, but the rumbling subsided. We went back in the house right away and noticed that the keys hanging on the wall were still swinging. (and did so for about another minute). As the news reports say, "It was not the big one!" Guess we have to pay a little bit for living in paradise!

Sean is safely Home

Sean arrived home today safe and sound. I'll be posting pictures soon. Once again we are so grateful for all of your faithful prayers to our Heavenly Father on his behalf. Jenna went right to him. It took Sophie a little longer. When I asked Jenna today if she was going to wear a pretty dress for Daddy, she replied, "No just my clothes."

They have their house on the market and are praying for a buyer very soon so they can join him in DC as he is scheduled to leave again at the end of August. In December they will move to Monterrey, California for 18 months. Now that will be a time of rejoicing. It is only 6 hours from our house.

Corrie is now home with her babies once again. Sean will not be home for another month.
Please pray for her. This is the cost of freedom. Corrie is so good about keeping herself busy with sweet projects to pass the time away.

Mark takes me to see Wall-e

John, Mark and Alex met me at the airport in LA Tuesday night. Mark was in town to see the premier of Dark Night. Alex and Mark are partners on the website http://www.firstshowing.net/. Mark is the graphic artist and event guy for these movie premiers.( In Colorado Springs-not LA!) Alex does the interviews. Check it out. It's quite remarkable what they have been able to accomplish in such a short time. We all went to see the 10pm showing of Wall-e ,Mark's favorite movie at the moment.I agree, it is very sweet and funny. On the plane back to LA, I sat next to an Aussie. As I was getting off, he said" A ga'day for you mam. You get to see all your kids in one day. That was true. Kinda amazing and a huge blessing. Mark and Alex stayed with us and went back to Colorado Springs yesterday. They managed not be delayed by the bomb threat at LAX. I am so glad to be back with my precious husband and this amazing 75 degree weather.

Joyful Reunion at the Dallas Airport

Corrie arrived in Dallas on Tuesday for a week to help Heather. Jenna and Sophie are being loved and spoiled by Sean's Aunt Judy in Denver and her ten children. I think seven of them still live at home. Sean comes home in August.
"Aunt Coco" was delighted to hold Susannah for the first time.
A precious time of sharing between sisters. Heather came home from Ukraine to be with Corrie when Jenna was born. This was Susannah's first time in denim.
You can see the tears in my smile. Very soon after this picture was taken, I got on a plane and flew back to LA. It was so hard to leave, but I am thankful that Corrie went to all the trouble and expense to come and help her sister.

Susannah Grace is 1 Week Old

We are all doing well at the Greene House. It's amazing how six pounds can completely change your life. Heather and I are just playing house. Troy has been so great to appreciate my being here. It doesn't seem that long ago when Heather was a baby herself. Being a grandmother is just the greatest.

Susannah Grace Greene Arrives

Susannah arrived this afternoon at 1:58 weighing 6 lbs 7 oz in Dallas Texas.
Heather and Troy arrived at the hospital at 2:00am and John and I got there at 2:30am. It was a long night and morning but she is healthy and mom and dad are doing great.She is named for Heather and Troy's matchmaker Great Aunt Susan Breeding.

The Greene's live in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They are a 6 hour drive away and arrived just as Susannah was born. We have not seen them since the wedding. What a reunion.
Every southern baby needs a bow. This one was just perfect.

I have arrived in Grapevine, Texas to wait for Heather and Troy's baby girl to arrive. She is actually due on June 16 but we are hoping she will come sooner. Hopefully, we will be posting the good news very soon.
