It was a beautiful day in Louise, Texas. My brother Pat and his family challenged us to a game of croquet. Thanks, Ave, Eli and Ethan for a really fun afternoon.

We stopped in Grapeland, Texas to visit Mike and Barbara Burkhalter. It was Barbara's prayer in her Sunday school class for her son, Spencer, that eventually connected us with Spencer. 
Mike and Barbara are building their dream house. They work at Frontier Ranch and minister to inner city kids as well as other kids who attend this Christian camp. 
My mom has now moved closer to Mike and Ellen. We spent two days with her in League City,Texas before going to Galveston to be stay at my brother Todd's beach house. 
My brother Mike and his wife Ellen came down to Todd's beach house in Galveston for a relaxing evening. Ellen was sleeping. Sorry, no picture. 
Todd fixed a great meal on the grill. 
Next to San Antonio to visit Spencer. We were his cadet sponsor family when he attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. We have so many wonderful memories with him. Now he is married to a wonderful Christian woman and they have these three adorable children. 
The Burkhalter children were mesmerized by John's playing the guitar. Their mom, Christy is quite the musician herself. 
We were so happy to see the Duvall family in San Antonio. They were precious friends at our church in California. 
Ella, almost three, is quite the little personality. 
I was so blessed to hold three week old Istra, I forgot to take pictures of her parents, Chris and April. Chris is a nurse in the Air Force, also stationed in San Antonio.There is no better way to spend time than holding a new born baby. 
For two wonderful years we lived one minute walking from Susannah, Heather and Troy. We will miss those Monday night dinners and Saturday afternoon visits and all the other times in between. 
Susannah was very happy to play with the packing peanuts. 
Our afternoon moving crew from Town North Presbyterian Church in Richardson. 
Julia from Town North found a silver tray, some cups and began serving apple cider we had in the pantry for two years. We love the Turner family. They will be life long friends. 
We made so many wonderful friends at Town North. They helped us so much loading the pods, cracking jokes and keeping our spirits high. Leaving Texas was not an easy thing to do.
