Rachel is One Week Old!!!

Yesterday Corrie took Rachel to the doctor. She had lost 8 oz. We think it was all in her cheeks.

She'll gain it back in time. This is normal.

A New Day... A New Beach

My job from 8:30-11:am. It was tough but someone had to do it. This is Daisy. She needed some Lala time too.

11:30am Off to a new beach. This one was just 5 minutes away called The Dunes. We invited our neighbor Ellie to join us. I am getting wiser. We had a tailgate lunch instead of our sandy lunch yesterday on the beach.
It was a little hike to the beach. WE decided we were looking for a treasure and the beach would be it. It was a treasure!!!

Today it was 57degrees and blowing. Jenna is a firecracker and wanted to be a mermaid. It was another glorious day. Home in time for naps. Ahhhhhhhh!

Our Mornings...Our Afternoon

Every morning starts with Corrie trying to get a few more minutes of sleep and Jenna holding her baby sister. The day was absolutely perfect 67degrees and blue sky. That is not always the case here in Monterey,so the girls and I went to the beach just 10 minutes away from home.

Sophie preferred to dance on the sand and build sand piles.

Jenna and I actually got in the water. Yes, I met a friend and she took these pictures.

We had very sandy apples and peanut butter and even brought paper to attempt to draw.

Corrie delivered her third little girl this afternoon 12:15 PST. Mom and Dad and baby are doing great.

She weighed in at 9lbs 2.9oz. Her labor was less than 7 hours. They left the house at 7:15am. I got the girls dressed, fed them breakfast,and a friend picked them up. I went to the hospital about 9:45am. It seemed like no time and the doctor was called and here she is.

I got back home in time to pick up Jenna and Sophie and put them down for naps.

God is so good. We praise him for another beautiful little granddaughter.

Lala's plastic flowers

You know you are a grandmother when you start planting plastic flowers.Actually, I bought 6 bunches of 99cent flowers at Michaels expecting to plant them all in the garden. Sophie carried them all over the house having weddings, giving them as gifts, planting them in the sofa and so much more. I told Sean that if she doesn't want to go to college to open a flower shop it will be my fault.

Beautiful place to walk_ Carmel, California

We walked and walked these beautiful little streets of Carmel by the Sea. Resisted buying $75 onesies, $3500 paintings, $600 child's sofa on sale from $750, and enjoyed a hazelnut coffee and apple cider. Perfect weather! Life is good.

Whew, that was a long walk!

Sean and Corrie live in military housing. It is a beautiful neighorhood with lots of parks and wonderful walking sidewalks. The sky was so blue and the weather was delightful.

Sophie is just learning how to ride her trike.

Blocks away the little girls got tired. So here's how we finally made it home. Whew!!!!

I slept so good that night.

Of all the places............

I arrived Thursday. Our baby girl is due on February 4. Each afternoon when Corrie and the girl take naps, Lala takes to the beach. It is cold and windy but you can see what I see. My heart is just about to explode.

Asilomar Beach right next to Pebble Beach. Why are crashing waves so much fun to watch. The power and majesty of God!!!

I was standing in awe of this majesty creation and reached into my bag to call Corrie and see if everything was ok. After all, this is why I am here. Discovering that I had left my cell phone at home, panic struck my heart. I had been gone for two hours. What seemed to take hours to get home only actually took 20 minutes in traffic. I pulled into the garage. Sean's car was in the garage, I was so relieved. Lala will get her act together......tomorrow.
